The opening night for the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver started out great with men's speed skating. All of America was rooting for veteran Apolo Anton Ohno and now bronze medalist, J.R. Celski. At the final lap of the race, it looked like Korea was going to take home all three medals when two of the three Koreans crashed into eachother on the last turn of the race, bumping up Ohno in second and Celski in third.
This was Celski's first competition and medal in the Olympic games. "I can't explained what happened. It was just a blur to me," said Celski. "Its very cool. It will go down in history- at least in my book."
The Winter Olympics will continue until Sunday, February 28th.

Studying Abroad
I am planning on studying abroad this summer with the Worcester Centre at Worcester University in Enlgand. It will be my first time in Europe and I'm very excited!! I have always wanted to go to Enlgand (maybe becuase of the Spice Girls phenomenon when I was in elementary school) but its somewhere I have always wanted to go.
We get to stay in the dorms at the university, going to class with other British students as well. We will have class Mon-Wed then on Thurs, we go on our field study. During our field study, we are planning on going to Stonehenge, Baths, Cantabury, and many other places. Then on one of the weekends, we are having a London Weekend, where we stay a weekend in London. I can't wait to go to London!!! I want to see some kind of show while I'm there because I'm at theatre geek.
But one reason why I can't wait to go to England, besides from just the experience in itself, is going to Stonehenge because Eddie Izzard talks about Stonehenge in one of his stand ups. He talks about how the place is so mystical and eary. Eddie Izzard is absolutly amazing. Youtube him.
